The August 18th issue of Entertainment Weekly features a first look at Star Wars: The Last Jedi and in particular the elite Praetorian Guard, who are charged with protecting Andy Serkis in the role of Supreme Leader Snoke.

Final in this film Supreme Leader Snoke will emerge in the flesh so to speak accompanied by his elite Praetorian Guard, similar to the red garbed soldiers we see guarding the Emperor in Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi!
The issue is chock full of new images and hints about story-lines including the entrance of Supreme Leader Snoke with the new badass Praetorian Guard
Supreme Leader Snoke only appeared in The Force Awakens via hologram, but in the new film out Dec. 15, the towering character (performed via motion-capture by Andy Serkis) will finally emerge from hiding. These will be his protectors – the Praetorian Guard, a variation on the crimson-cloaked Imperial guards who flanked the Emperor in Return of the Jedi.
