Orc Chieftain of the Uruk-hai
Here is our next update to Mordor’s Servants of Shadow, Uglúk, one of the mighty Uruk-hai captains born out of the breeding pits of Orthanc.
“Kill all but not the Halfings; they are to be brought back alive as quickly as possible. That’s my orders.” ~ Uglúk
We continue the work of updating the Servants of Shadow in Middle-earth, here we look at Uglúk, an orc of Isengard and one of the new breed or Uruks that was able to walk abroad under the light of day.
This is the next in our new Hero Orc Pages in The Land of Shadow.com. We have updated most of our main Orc Pages and now one by one we’ll be adding the Hero Orc Characters from both the books and films.
Uglúk is a memorable character in both the books and the films giving us a close up look at what the Uruk-hai as an orc breed were really like. This orc was played by Nathaniel Lees in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. He had to endure hours of prosthetic and costume application and then stay in the character for eight hour stretches of time, while acting, running and fighting.
