What’s your favorite?

Take down that cherished book… open it’s pages to a chapter, passage, poem or verse that you remember lifted you to a place outside yourself and made you a fan of Professor Tolkien forever…

Honor the man by reading his words…

As fans of the writings of Professor Tolkien… be it The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales of Numenor and Middle-earth, Farmer Giles of Ham, Smith of Wootton Major, The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, Lost Tales, or even some of the newly published works such as The Children of Húrin, The Fall of Arthur, Beowulf, The Story of Kullervo... we all have a favorite passage or bit of writing that is dear to our hearts.

So make a hot cup of tea or coffee… settle down by the fire in your favorite chair… and crack open one of Tolkien’s books. Feel the familiar weight of it in your hands, the sound of the pages turning, the excitement of getting swept off your feet on a much beloved adventure.

Read… and enjoy. Go to the Tolkien Society HERE for a complete list of his writings.

That’s a beautiful edition RL. That book is massive, what kind of weight-lifting regiment were you on prior to producing this video?……LOL

Isn’t that the version they use in the LOTR appendices?

I was feeling down yesterday but when I remembered Tolkien’s birthday and decided to read the start of the Hobbit, it was so rejuvenating.
