Bolg is called forth from Mount Gundabad
Rising out of a black gorge where the Grey and the Misty Mountains meet is an ancient stronghold of the Orcs in the north of Middle-earth
The fortress guards the way into the ancient realm of Angmar…
Mount Gundabad was once a hallowed place of the Dwarves of Durin, but now it is a realm of evil, held by the Orcs and Goblins of the Misty Mountains, a remnant of the ancient kingdom of Angmar that once ruled these northern lands.
Durin the Deathless, oldest of the Fathers of the Dwarves, awoke at Mount Gundabad in the north of the Misty Mountains shortly after the Awakening of the Elves in the First Age. Mount Gundabad then became a sacred place to the Dwarves. However, twice the orcs of the north have taken this stronghold from them and now they hold this strategic fortress of old. This perhaps explains the deep hatred the Dwarves have for the Orcs of Middle-earth.
Bolg the spawn of Azog the defiler, waits upon a high window in the fortress of Mount Gundabad for a sign from the dark power. As ordered, he has been marshaling a large force of orcs, wargs and trolls and is now waiting for word from the Master. He was drawn to this high place upon the tower by a premonition. Looking to the east, Bolg sees a shadow rising over the hills, but it might be nothing more then a wisp of cloud and yet somehow, he knows it is not. The cloud grows larger and seems to rush northward as he watches. Bolg feels something coming.
Suddenly, from over the black hills the shadow begins to descend with great speed toward Gundabad. There can no longer be any doubt, this is no ordinary shadow upon the wind, but a vast moving legion of vampire bats from Dol Guldur.
The bats engulf Gundabad. They swirl and circle the red tower, dipping down just above the head of Bolg, who is now standing upon a precipice that juts out from the tower. Suddenly one of the largest bats rushes down toward him screaming right in his face. Bolg raises his scimitar and cleaves the head from the creature, letting it fall to the rocks below. Bolg knows this is the summons for which he has long awaited.
This a message from the dark power calling him forth and the time of waiting is now over. He must go south to the Hill of Sorcery in the dark heart of Mirkwood for further orders from the Necromancer!
Bolg calls upon his most trusted warriors to ride with him upon the Wargs of Gundabad. The great iron gate at the feet of the tower opens and they rush forward into the night! It will take many nights of hard riding to reach Dol Guldur.
Bolg and his small band of uruks will move under the cover of darkness and during the daylight hours they will cover themselves from the light of the sun until dusk falls once more. They will hunt for man-flesh upon the way, but the uruks of Mount Gundabad must cover their tracks and leave no trace of their passage through the lands of men and dwarves. None must know of their comings and goings, for the Master is not yet ready to unleash the shadow upon Middle-earth!
The hour of the Orcs is coming once more, but the time is not yet ripe! Soon however, the Dark Power will call forth his armies and the Orcs will have their vengeance upon the the scum of Durin!
A time of darkness is coming once more to Middle-earth. Bolg raises his scimitar to the sky as the orcs race through the darkness upon their wargs, howling words of war in the Black Speech!
