The Uruks Of Mordor
For more in-depth info on Orcs click HERE
The Orcs of Mordor came from all over Middle-earth. Sauron needed many hundreds of thousands of slaves and soldiers to rebuild and fortify Mordor and eventfully put forth a massive force to attack the West. The Orcs of Mordor were not simply gathered from the remnants of Morgoth's armies, but were also bred anew by Sauron. There were many types in the service of the Red Eye, but the largest and fiercest were the Great Black Uruks, a form first seen about five hundred years before the end of the Third Age. It seems that Sauron could breed armies of Orcs with enormous speed when they were needed. For instance, it had taken just a few years for the Orcs to multiply in Mordor to the vast hordes seen in the War of the Ring.
The Orcs of the Red Eye.

From the great fighting Uruks of Mordor to the Snaga, to the small tracking Orcs, all fell under the sway of Barad-dur. The indomitable will of the Nameless One commands his hosts as they march across the vast plain of Gorgoroth under red flames of Orodoruin.

The leading Orcs came loping along, panting, holding their heads down. They were a gang of the smaller breeds being driven unwillingly to their Dark Lord's wars; all they cared for was an end to the march and an escape from the whip.

Beside them running down the line, went two of the large fierce uruks, cracking lashes and shouting.

"There now!" he laughed, flicking at their legs. "Where there's a whip there's a will, my slugs. Hold up! I'd give you a nice freshener now, only you'll get as much lash as your skins will carry when you get in late to your camp. Do you good. Don't you know we're at war"

The two Orc-figures were still some way ahead. He could see them now, black and squat against the red glare.

The passage ran straight at last, up an incline. Already the orcs with their burden had passed through Gorbag and Shagrat were drawing near the gate.

Sam heard a burst of hoarse singing, blaring of horns and ganging of  gongs, a hideous clamor. Gorbag and Shagrat were already on the threshold.

One was clad ragged brown and was armed with a bow of horn; it was of a small breed, black skinned, with wide snuffling nostrils: evidently a tracker of some kind.

The other was a big fighting-orc, like those of Shagrat's company, bearing the token of the Eye. He also had a bow at his back and carried a short broad-headed spear.
