Will Amazon use this storyline?

If you haven’t watched this short film in a while or if you’ve missed it altogether, you can sit back now and see the entire film right here in Mordor!

“We wants it, we needs it. Must have the precious. They stole it from us. Sneaky little hobbitses. Wicked, tricksy, false!”  ~ J.R.R. Tolkien

The Hunt for Gollum take us on the dark adventure of Aragorn & Gandalf’s long search for the creature Gollum, who was himself in search of the One Ring.

Will this adventure, only hinted at in the Appendices of The Lord of the Rings be fleshed out in the new Middle-earth Series at Amazon Studios? Will the story of a young Aragorn, which is rumored to be the centerpiece of the series include this aspect of Aragorn’s life? Will we see Aragorn meeting Gandalf for the first time and watch the development of their friendship? Only time will tell.

So take a moment and watch this independent film directed by Chris Bouchard, which chronicles parts of Aragorn’s story that may well be featured in the new Lord of the Rings Series.

Award winning unofficial prequel short film dramatising Aragorn & Gandalf’s long search for Gollum directed by British filmmaker Chris Bouchard. Based faithfully on the appendices of the books this is a non-profit, serious homage to the writing of J.R.R Tolkien and the films of Peter Jackson. It was shot on locations in England and Snowdonia with a team of over a hundred people working over the Internet. It took two years to make and was released as a non-profit Internet-only video by agreement with Tolkien Enterprises.
